Well the days tick by and the orders keep coming - Slowly but surely - The Funds4Paws team continue to source goods and never cease to be amazed by the generosity of the public and businesses alike! Again a huge thank you to Fifers building supplies for supplying us kennels at a heavily reduced rate no matter what the size or how bizarre the request is!
We have assisted in the rehoming of a number of dogs which are now safely in their new forever homes, all settling in well! We still have a number of dogs in foster care, some awaiting their loving owners and others awaiting new forever homes. We continue to fund their care from the donations received from the public and each and every one of them is doing well and moving forward.
There will be more dogs for adoption in the not too distant future, so please keep an eye on our website if you are looking for a new dog!
On a side note: Since the fires Dr Kate Murray has worked independently and tirelessly providing emergency vet care for the injured animals. Initially in a tent and then from a vacant shop front and with the assistance of many volunteer vets and lay persons from all round Australia. Dr Kate Murray a well known and loved member of the Kinglake community, has provided much needed assistance and skilled triage care for animals of all shapes and sizes.
Now with huge community support the empty shop front has been fitted out and will soon be open for business.
Under New Management "The Mountain Ranges Vet Clinic" hopes to be open for business early June.
Located at: Shop 1 /31 Whittlesea Kinglake Rd, Phone 957861247
Dr Kate Murray will head up the new practice. The Kinglake community will once again have a full range of vet services available to them. This is a huge comfort to the entire community.
Unfortunately we have recently lost the use of the infamous red ute that has assisted us in transporting and delivering goods, if any of our readers has contacts within car/ute rentals, we would very much appreciate any assistance in getting mobile again. We are also potentially looking for corporate sponsors that might assist us in renting the vehicle we so desperately need.
We will be sure to update you again in the near future!
